Chernihiv Lyceum Renovation — Enhancing Energy Efficiency and Modernizing an Educational Environment

This large-scale capital renovation project focuses on the comprehensive modernization of the Chernihiv Lyceum, located at 50 Teroborony Street. The work encompasses the educational and dormitory buildings, as well as the canteen and its connecting passages. The primary goal is to significantly improve the thermal performance of the building envelopes, update their exterior aesthetics, and ensure long-term structural integrity.

Scope of Work and Technical Features

The renovation is designed to meet modern standards of energy efficiency and durability, creating a comfortable and sustainable environment for students and staff:

  • Comprehensive Wall Insulation: Over 2,390 m² of exterior wall insulation, utilizing both a ventilated facade system (594 m²) and a high-quality decorative plaster finish (1,798 m²).
  • Foundation Protection: Insulation of the building’s plinth both below and above ground level, covering a total area of 765 m² and finished with decorative plaster and ceramic tiles for enhanced durability.
  • Advanced Water Management: Installation of a new 534-meter “Wavin” water drainage system, complete with an integrated heating system to prevent ice formation in winter.
  • Grounds Improvement: Construction of 653 m² of new surrounding pavement and walkways to improve accessibility and the overall appearance of the grounds.
  • Modern Entrances and Windows: Installation of new, energy-efficient aluminum entrance doors (2 units, 1900x2800mm) and large window blocks (2 units, 1900x2000mm).
  • Aesthetic Upgrades: Complete refinishing of the main entrance porch to create a modern and welcoming access point to the main building.
